Surviving as a uni student is no easy task and most students will feel the pressure of financial difficulties over the course of their degrees. Applying that pressure can be a range of different struggles from rent, bills, buying new clothes, food and trying to maintain some kind of social life with almost no money to do so. Sydney is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in, so the task of keeping your head above water can come at an even greater cost.

Student Survival in Sydney is a blog that is designed to help the common university student with simple, every day costs that come attached to general living. It can at times feel tough when many of those around you with full time jobs are able to do almost anything they like. This blog is structured to inform uni students that they too can still have a social life ,but the most important reason for the existence of this blog is to alleviate some of the financial stress that uni students deal with. There are multiple categories that make up the construct of this blog. Food, entertainment and quick getaways is aimed at the social side of a uni students life, offering well priced outings that ultimately make a student feel like they can still be part of a social scene on a minimum budget. Other features cover more practical economic stresses such as moving out, keeping a car on the road, health care and home ware specials. We have a section dedicated to tips from other students on how they juggle the many aspects of their schooling lives. Every component of this blog is aimed at helping.

Two mature age students who have both felt the external financial pressures that come with studying a full time degree have created this blog because we believe that something like this would have helped take some heat of us in what can be one of the most stressful times of our lives. Feel free to comment on any of the posts if you know of any similar experiences you have had and we will be happy to make up a post.

We have a reddit discussion to generate a sense of community here
